The bold and sculptural form of Heliconia flowers create stunning features in tropical gardens. The upward facing flower acts as a cup, and a natural source of rain water for birds and insects. They're often described as 'lobster claws' or 'parrots beak' from their unique flower shape. Introduced to New Zealand and the world, as tropical specimen plants.
