Found along New Zealand's rocky cliffs and coastal inlets of Banks Peninsula, Wellington harbour and near Stewart Is. This one is featured in breeding plumage with bright colour around the eyes and double crest on head.
Colours are muted marine blues, with charcoal grey, black and white.
